Scud spent the night in hospital with a punctured lung, broken rib(s) and a tibial fracture.

Do you expect free pit entry to remain under "V8SC-rule", what about the freedom to wonder around the front of the pits after the track has closed for the day as has become a 12hr tradition on the Friday and Saturday evenings in recent years. If V8SC promote the event, they will want to make their mark and "V8SC-ise" it like they have done the 1000. And velly4 is right, the 1000 these days is unrecognisable. |

i would expect the friday and saturday evening wandering around to continue because thats what happens at the 1000 also and of course its unrecognisable, the bathurst council spent a lot of money to upgrade the facilities and all the other changes have been applied at the 12 hour also. ie having to pay for camping, no alcohol etc. Crowds have never been bigger at the 1000 so changes have to happen to get bigger crowds and deal with the logistics of such.. however the latest news suggest the sky is not falling, the v8s will not be part of the 12 hour event , however that doesnt mean v8 supercars will not be promoting the event |

so i might have heard this incorrectly but in less time than the 12 hour has been around v8 supecar events have created a new event on a new track that has nearly 5 times the crowd of the 12 hour.
Somehow this is a bad thing for the 12 hour, because it means that some people might have slightly less access than they currently have and it might cost a bit more but more people will come |

It was good to see the older Ford GT being so competitive in Townsville I'd love to see that car in the 12 Hour. The Porsche GT3Rs were also quite good.

Didn't VDS Racing talk about wanting to enter a Mustang in the 12hr a few years back, or am i thinking of something else? |

Yeah that was VDS Racing Adventures, not to be confused with Marc VDS who race in BES (two different teams). From memory the car didn't show. |

Naw, Marc VDS also had a short-lived Mustang program... must've been around 2011 or so. Lots of trouble with the homologation for those, though, so they saw hardly any racing hours.

VDS Racing Adventures were the ones thinking of bringing the Mustang but yeah it wasn't the GT3 car that Marc VDS was developing, the VDS Racing Adventures Mustang was some oddball spec car. |

Speaking of no shows, what ever happened to that Ginetta coupe that was supposed to race this year?

No it was the Radical RXC.
They didn't get enough people to commit to running 3 of them as per Class I rules. The big issue for them locally is that outside of a Class I invitation for B12HR they have no other series that will let them compete so they are a lot of coin for 1 race a year. (Aust GT and Prod Sports all said no to letting them run). Shame as they are a cool little bus IMO. |

There was an article suggesting a couple of Radical RXCs were looking to come down for the 2015 B12Hour, but that never eventuated. |

One thing to note however is that the Ginetta G55 GT3 is NOT on the SRO eligible vehicles document for any SRO event (and it's not also currently on the B12HR list of eligible vehicles either).
In Europe I'm pretty sure it only runs in the British GT series. I know I heard a few local mumbles at the 101 when Matt Campbell was fast in it given there is no official SRO BOP documents for it. So it would be interesting to see if they'd let one run at B12hr. It's is on the eligible list so I expect they would. I know they are a little more liberal with the rules here - at least in the other classes. The Class C Exige Cup R sure ain't GT4 spec but is allowed to compete (and is the main reason IMO why we don't really see many Class C cars entered as that thing is miles faster than the other GT4 spec cars).
