Disabled access at Lydden Hill
Can anyone tell me about the disabled/wheelchair access at Lydden Hill? The person in question uses a mobility scooter.
Is there reserved parking? (I'd need somewhere flat to set said scooter up.) Also is there disabled access to the grandstand? (I don't think I could manage the crowds without either getting stuck or running someone over.) Thank you! |

You've been to Lydden haven't you Distracted? So you know the rough layout there?
I can think of a few suitable spots for unloading which you might be able to use during a smaller event at Lydden, but I would think they'd be inaccessible for the World Rallycross. I'd say your best bet is to speak to the circuit directly. |

Thank you! I was there last year and the year before.
The lane at the top of the hill would be ideal but I've no idea if it would be allowed. |

I reckon that they would be pretty amenable to specific needs, either allowing you to park in the pits or something similar. They probably have a legal requirement to make some sort of facilities available given that 15000 will be at the WRX round, so it's a fairly significant event. As Steve says, hopefully contacting them directly will help

Typical chunder. I'm not joking, I'm guessing. I bet my guess is closer than you're giving it credit.

No, I've heard nothing from them.
Been a busy few weeks so I keep meaning to phone them and putting it off! |
