World Rallycross R8 - Trois-Rivières, Canada
Caught on the coverage from Sweden that Solberg and Kristofferson will be air freighting their cars over to Canada to allow for more testing and full prep, the other cars are being shipped. Can anyone stop VW in 2017??

Who cares honestly
They will simply be the team that spent the most as Solberg and Ekstrom in the past. Those in the know realise that and drift away hopefully |

IMO they should restrict testing.
Restrict the amount of testing but also not allow testing at tracks that are part of the championship. |

Agreed. I thought there was chat earlier in the year that testing at the track 40 days before the event is banned unless part of a national championship? Comment was made in connection with Lydden brx round in April.

Other teams will probably complain though that PSRX and VW will be flying their cars over and testing. |

20. TEST DAYS AND PRESS DAYS
The Championship Promoter will nominate up to three of cial test days, two of which will be mandatory for registered Competitors. There will be no other testing or practice at Championship venues in the 56 days before the Championship Competition at that venue except for a national championship, duly entered on the National Sporting Calendar of the ASN. |

But that states no limit to the amount of testing at any venue as long as there is more than 8 weeks till the event at that track. Also you can test with any number of cars so you could in theory have 6 cars going round at once (though highly impractical). They should limit testing to like 8 days in season and maybe have a couple of in season tests after some events to help privateers.

It seems Dan Rooke is running low on funds to finish the season after Canada.
https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/dan-rooke-rx2 I wish him well but it is a rather depressing state of affairs that he clearly has talent but cannot find backing, where is an energy drink with some spare marketing budget when you need one?? |

Dan's a great talent but I'm not sure RX2 was the way to go - it is an expensive commercial spec formula. The cars are so different that they aren't a good step to supercars. And, frankly, the best drivers are in S1600 or supercars.

I'm not a fan of RX2 though. But even if the Lites aren't good cars and it is an expensive series the cars don't require as much work. Performance is not as important either since all the cars are same. |

An RX class where all cars are the same...
It only makes the difference bigger! |

I did notice that none of the Qualifying review videos appeared on the World Rallycross You Tube channel over the weekend. They were all on Faceache though, so I managed to keep up on there.
I see the full final is now on both the Facebook and You Tube channels: Offical World Rallycross You Tube - Supercar Final, Canada As crossfades has said, the Polos were flying. |

Lets be honest, they have been in a class of their own all year. Adn this round has had no real push at all, so it seems even IMG are not as interested as they once were!!
