Who will win the fford championship?

With the final 2 rounds of the senior fford championship coming up this weekend I just wondered if Wesley can win or will Christian or Jan grab the championship from him. I think I'd still put my money on Wesley, but it will be close.

It will be very close - though I suspect Jan may be sacrificed by team orders.
I'll go for Christian.

Do you really think Jan will listen to team orders if he has a chance of the championship?

Barber will have enough of a points gap to be able to relax a little whilst England and Heylen will have to resort to desperate moves and take risks. Wesley has the experience to see the job through.

Could be fireworks between Lewis and Dean after though if theres any contact between their men.

Tough to say, anything could happen this weekend. Wouldn't be surprised if someone gets speared off between Barber, Heylen and England. The question is, who will do it, and who will get it? I would put the odds on Barber taking it though.

Probably Barber although with the senior championship being weaker than the juniors (according to the motorsport press - so it must be true) i'm sure if Daniel Clarke had done it he would have sown it up a long time ago...

So Barber for the Championship with a lot of contact and time in the C of C's office along the way!!

Does anybody know if Wesley's successfully appealed against his penalty at Brands, could make the difference?

The appeal should have been sorted out by before the Donington rounds, then everybody knows what they have to do to win the championship. I hope the result is settled on the track, but there is a lot of bad blood between JLR and Van Diemen and rumors of bad feeling between different parties in the Van Diemen camp.

Im going to go for Jan because I predicted him at the begining of the season.

Also the appeal wont work why would the good old boys of the MSA want to go against the decision of one of their oldest members.

medler you are right,in what you are saying and it depends on wich side of the fence you are sitting as to wich is right or wrong but from where I sit I think I would call in the parties concerned to the C o C office and lay the law down before racing begins and let the racing on the track decide the outcome. Jan, Christian, and Wesley have done a good job this year

With the Ford championship and the F3 series to be decided this weekend I may not be able to resist the temptation to go along!

Shame Luke Hines was not racing from the start of the Championship - He could have been up there too. What does everyone else think ? he has certainly embarresed a few people this year.

Wesley will win it. History generally says that the leader going into the final round wins the title. Saying that, the pressure is on...

If he could stay on the black stuff and stop crashing in to people I think you could be right I am sure it will happen for him soon

Westley won the championship. Christian second, Jan third,
the weekends racing was good with no funny stuff or team orders as far as I could see I hope all three will go on to do well

Well that wraps up the 2002 Championship. Well-done Wesley on winning the championship. Another great drive from Jan to win the second race and well done to Christian and JLR for stopping the season becoming a Van Diemen parade.
Well its time to start working out who will win the festival then. New thread I think?
