Global Rallycross Europe
Global Rallycross Europe now has it's own website:
https://globalrallycross.net/home/ More details to follow, but it seems like the Championship will run two classes: GRC Titans (using a spec car) GRC Supercars |

If I understand correctly Pucher was planning to launch this separate series before the US GRC collapsed. They are talking about rounds in several countries, including the UK, so possible that we will see this series in Europe. |

"The calendar is at this time tentative and has to be finalized through the usual ASN and FIA channels for 2019. We plan to race in Austria, UK, Germany, Hungary, France, Slovakia and Italy."
Since there is an emphasis on countries that are a part of the FIA European Central Rallycross Championship (or whatever the series is called), I'm guessing that Hungarian round will be at Nyirad, Slovakia at Slovakiaring and Italy at Maggiora. Lydden will probably be the UK round. "MJP Promotions is the owner of the Global Rallycross brand for Europe. Global Rallycross will run in 2019 two racing series with GRC Titans and GRC Supercars. MJP Racing developed a new one-design Rallycross class for GRC Titans with the PanteraRX6. PanteraRX6 is similar to Supercars in track performance at 20% of WorldRX cost. GRC Supercars use the FIA Supercar Regulation with Balance-of-Performance" Perhaps this is what many has been hoping for? A non-IMG European championship that runs at least some more traditional track. Nice to see Supercars although this Balance-of-Perfomance seems kinda odd. I wonder what 20% of WorldRX cost is since it's not related to anything concrete. There is a kickoff on October 18th. |

I guess Hansen couldn't get the 208s from Peugeot and instead they opted for this as it's a lot cheaper.
The irony that WRX forced out privateers and in the end Hansen is one of them. |

Didn't realise Pucher had his own track. By the looks of google maps it'll need some work to take many spectators though.
Interesting (although not surprising) that he's picked up on the venues that have been dropped by the FIA championship. |

https://www.facebook.com/globalrally...5689639355641/ Pucher wants to build the series on the things WRX has lost or doesn't have and he has an own vision of how he thinks rallycross should be. Low costs, traditional tracks and equal terms for all the drivers is kinda the base mark. For example; instead of time, points will be awarded based on position and Supercars will have a weight distribution system similar to that in TCR or other racing championships. |

"You get more points for winning the race than just having the fastest time ... The main reason we do that is because of the lottery going on with the weather, with the race track changing, with the watering and other issues. Here, we believe that the most important thing is that you win the race ... There is some points for time also but this is really the key element and one of the most important changes."
