the Walkinshaw years
As one who has defended Tom Walkinshaw against bog ignorant claims over the years I'll be buying the book.

He certainly polarises (pun intended) opinion. It will definitely be worth a read given he no longer works for Holden, or is one to pull punches.

This should be a good read, I'll be picking this up before it hits the bargain bin.

Sounds promising! But the skeptic in me reckons all the juicy bits will be censored by the legal eagles! Like various Skaife, Brock, Lowndes books have been.

Doesn't look like much ever came of this, other than a 'strictly-limited' run of 155 copies of his memoirs, titled "55 Years in Car Heaven”
However, Crennan has recently revealed some historical details in a recent V8 Sleuth interview: https://www.supercars.com/news/champ...-john-crennan/ Some interesting notes from this:

Tom Walkinshaw
Read it up a few years back, here is a link to media commentary ... not the full story but its a start.
https://www.theguardian.com/sport/20...yunion.comment I remain a firm supporter of Tom Walkinsaw, perfect he was not, nor me. |
