With regards to the Triple Crown, the only contender is Alonso. If the 500 is cancelled, he's the only one who will lose out.

The state of Indiana has issued a new order that will go into effect on Wednesday. It requires all residents to stay at home through April 7 and that includes many of the IndyCar racing teams, who are based in Indianapolis.

IndyCar is also still looking to run the 500; being it's top priority. Not much in actual news out there, but the most recent headlines indicate they want to run it, but it won't be in May.

It's a month of events and I'd guess more than a few sponsors would understand missing races to get that race on. By the end, or a break, of this people will be screaming for things that feel "normal" and Indy may not be known well to all it's still a big event. I'd be surprised if viewership was not insane

This weekend would have been Round 2 of the 2020 season, at Barber. However, there is an iRace at Barber, which starts this at 2:30pm ET, Sunday.

I'm not particularly interested in iRacing but if someone wants to start a thread, that covers the iRacing season, feel free to do so.

I question whether the series' plans going forward are realistic — I'm not convinced the parts supply chain can handle that many races over such a short period of time. Also, why the fixation on holding 15 races?

I suppose 15 races makes it more viable, as far as having a championship is concerned. Champ Car's final season had 14 races.
