And tell me a driver who could control a racecar on a skating rink on slicks...

Speedcafe now suggesting Main Game drivers start the race in exceptional circumstances.
Totally agree (after the fact ) that this should have been the case on Sunday and going forward. |

Why? Every single driver on that grid is a capable racer by the fact that they all had a Superlicence (TM)
Are we saying that to start a Supercars race, you need a SuperStarting Superlicence (TM)? |

There was not a thing preventing the main game drivers starting the race last Sunday. What is next? Mandatory breaking distances? |

What a load of cobblers.
These same team owners had a choice and put co-drivers in their cars to start at Indy. Co-drivers who in many cases had almost no seat time in a Supercar. And what happened then? |

I note that Brad Jones was the one that said this and he had Dale Wood in his car, and Tickford had all their co-drivers too.
So do as I say, not as I do. |

I'm a fan of the alternative suggestion - You qualify the car, you start the race.

Probably a smart idea this year, with no other endurance events for the co-drivers.

yay, more rules.
How about you make the call and wear the result.... if you are worried you have employed a driver that cant start a race in the wet then make the call to have him sit out the race start. Running a 500km enduro before Bathurst would be more beneficial than adding more to the rulebook. |
