Yep - 100 quid a shot this time but still worth it if you do a lot of meetings I reckon. They're gonna be proper 'passport' style this time too so no raffle tickets to carry round, but no chance of lending it to a friend either... not that I did, of course, no never.

I got an application form through the post this morning - I'll definitely be getting one for next year, and hopefully since they're the type that go on a strap round your neck I won't lose the bloody thing either!

Yep, I got a letter about it this morning as well. Looks like I need to be finding 100 quid from somewhere doesn't it
I don't suppose there's been any 2 for 1 offers advertised in Autosport has there? Doubtful I know, but we've all got to live in hope. |

Not that I've seen, Carrie. But I'll bet I'm not the only person who's holding off the purchase for just a couple of weeks in the hope that an offer will come along...

Considering what was promised last year and the hash-up that followed will I am inclined to believe it when I see it.
It may be best to invest in a coat with large pockets to hold the book of tickets, which may still arrive. Due to ill-health I will not be able to travel next year and mailed Octagon to see if they would be doing a season ticket for all meetings at Snetterton, just a short journey for me,but they have not condescended to reply. |

Last year Octagon also run the 2 for 1 offer at the NEC Autosport Show, on both the 2 wheel season ticket, and the 4 wheel season ticket. So fingers crossed.
The application form also mentions that this year a 4 wheel season ticket lets you into the British Grand Prix on the Friday. |

Am I right in thinking that this year there was season ticket for all the BTCC rounds, as I have been looking at the details of this deal and it says nothing about TOCA rounds at Donnington, Croft, Rockingham etc.

It's an Octagon season ticket. Cover all events at Brands Hatch, Silverstone. Oulton Park, Snetterton and Cadwell Park. There's 2 to choose from - 4 wheels (cars) or 2 wheels (bikes).
Not as good as last year's 2 for 1 offer, but if you allow £20-25 for TOCA and F3/GT meetings and £10 for your typical clubbie it doesn't take long to get £100 worth of entry. This year the 4 wheel ticket includes Friday of the British GP which is £35 on it's own. |

ive still got a full spare book of tickets from this year and the one i used hardly looks like its been touched.
But I definatly got my moneys worth, it saved me a lot. Wouldn't it be nice if Octagon bought all the circuits ? - well maybe not. |

Compared with last year the deal's gone down hill a bit. You now either get a car pass or bike pass, restricting your options and halving the number of meetings you can go to.

Its good value for money if you can travel but for those of us that can only get to one circuit not much use at all.
But after 45 years of racegoing perhaps its time to call it a day anyway |

Redshoes, there was an offer in Autosport in Nov 2001 and it said it was OK for 98 car and bike meetings. I'm 99 percent sure.

I see Octogon have just installed a new sales and marketing chief and guess who his last job was with?. Walt Disney, Oh well he should feel at home in another Mickey Mouse company. "thats all folks" (sorry wrong company)
