Pitwalk
Looking at the provisional schedule for the race, I´ve seen there´s no pitwalk on friday. Last year I only arrived saturday morning, but in 2001 i made the pitwalk on friday. Does anybody know if it´s official that there will be no pitwalk on friday or just a mistake on the schedule?. in 2001 I enjoyed it a lot and took a lot of close detail pictures of the cars

I must admit I had assumed there would be a pitwalk as usual Friday lunchtime - I intend to be there if there is. Perhaps its sort of "unofficial"?

Perhaps we could ask Fab, Gilles or another of the "locals" to find out for us?

This link has the schedule and for most of the day there is discover the pits as a direct translation. I asume that this means the pits will still be open all day on the friday. Although reading again there seems to be an indication that there are pit walks on Wednesday and thursday thus meaning we can still do that and see the drivers parade and everything else. That's an excellent idea as it spreads people out over a few days, so you don't get trapped behind the large, wide young men who camp at the front of every garage and cannot be moved even by fork lifts.

The Weds and Thurs pit walks are for "Pit Walk" ticket holders - 450 euros each, and no reduction for ACO members!! |

Last year we could walk the pits without any tickets on Wednesday, and we sneaked in on Thursday through the one unguarded gate.

Carry a palm tree with you and take some sand in your pocket while you walk about the track...Best of both worlds!!!

Sorry to drag everyone back from the Caribbean, but just to clarify, the pits are open for pitwalks between 10:00 and 20:00 on Friday - is that correct?
