Question
How many times has Micheal Schumacher been outqualified by his teammate in his Formula One career? I guess I could find out myself, but I'll let someone else find it out for me

Yep, I saw that site earlier, and tried to get these stats, but I don't understand their layout.
BTW, while looking at something else, I've just realised something - in last two seasons, Michael didn't win points at only one race - Brasil, this year. I knew he had rather good stats lately, but this... |

I think that the only driver to do it with any semblance of regularity would be Barrichello.

The site does a calculation of fastest laps, qualifying and race position in comparison to teammates... it accumulates points for all 3 rather than breaking them out.
Its fair to say that Mattracer is likely right... Rubens is the only one really to get close to TGF |

Ah ok fair enough... also if you look at the avg. finishing position of Micahel he is 1st and so is his team mates... But if you look at the actual data Michael is pretty far ahead...

Driving Qualification Battle
2003 Schumi - Rubens 10 - 6 2002 Schumi - Rubens 13 - 4 2001 Schumi - Rubens 16 - 1 2000 Schumi - Rubens 15 - 2 1999 Schumi – Salo - Irvine 9-2-5 1998 Schumi - Irvine 15-1 1997 Schumi - Irvine 16 -1 1996 Schumi - Irvine 15-1 1995 Schumi - Herbert 16-1 1994 Schumi - Verstappen 14-2 Schumi just shaded it I think |

Looking at the last two years or mostly the last year... (but then new qualifying comes into play) Is Michael loosing it or is Barrichello getting better or getting more support from his team.

Maybe Ferrari will take Trust's money and nerf Barichello for Verstappen... he put up more fight than some others..

Same goes for 1999 when Michael had a broken leg. |

Defiantely evidence that Michael isn't quite as dominant anymore, which was showed chiefly by 2002. This eyar's qualifying stats aren't imprtant in their own right, but it's fair to say that Rubens' Silverstone and Interlagos pole laps were untouchable.
He did 10 races in 1999, didn't he? That would mean Irvine outqualified him once, and outqualified Salo 4 time sout of 6. |

The way that is written is as if Jos/JJ out-qualified Michael, they didn't. |

Happy New Year I think the gist of the argument is apparent Schumi may be slowing up that's because of ads on his overalls |

For 1994 I think you will find that it was:
Schumi-Verstappen 8-0 Schumi-Lehto 4-0 Schumi-Herbert 2-0 |

Surprisingly Salo outqualified Irvine twice in such a short span of time with Ferrari. Me not generally being an Irvine fan was he not a good qualifier?

i think we must consider that traction control might have helped Reubens enourmously.
without traction control reubens was not even close. |

In fact he's the only one that HAS had a nice car (relative to all of michaels other team mates) Verstappen saw michael sliding the blunt benetton at will and every time he tried to do the same he spun(jos said that himself) Herbert couldn't keep up at all.Pity he chose to bith and moan about it.Sure it was true to an extent that shumi got better/newer car parts but johnny was totally outclassed and should have had the grace to admit it. Irvine didn't seem to be even bothered that shuey was faster and admitted often that he could get somewhere close to michael IF he(eddie) drove perfectly all the time.He tried.Pity he started saying dumb stuff towards the end-"i'm the second best in f1" It is interesting to see rhubins outqualify michael occasionally (not just by a lucky small amount). Two things are contributing-cars that suit ruhby, and michael IS slowing down (and actually showing a hint of stage fright(!!!)as he approched his record breaking championship) |

It maybe wouldn't make any difference in their 'head-to-head' comparisation, but it sure didn't help Herbert. |

IMO it's fair to say that Rubens has improved in the past four years.
