Be nice if it was the new Ford GT (40).

That does seem a very tempting suggestion as Ross Palmer has said that their would be 2 Ford GT 40 on the grid at Bathurst 24 hour

Grumpy, Proton engines are cast and assembled in Malaysia, not by Holden in Australia.
Morris 1100, Proton used to use Mitsubishi engines built under licence in Malaysia (Mitsubishi had a 15% stake in Proton). Now the company is making its own range of engines which are fully homegrown with no Mitsubishi (or Holden) input. My guess is that when the company comes to Bathurst it will do so with something built by Lotus, a company wholly-owned by Proton. |
