Audi S1 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Rallycross cars set to race in the heart of London

Awesome news for the sport

Take a look at the ERC24.COM website for the full press release on the FULL two-day rallycross event to take place alongside the London Motorsport show at the Excel London on 8th/9th December.

Should be an awesome event and one which will certainly put Rallycross back on the map in the UK. Taking place on an 800 metre track with 50/50 split of tarmac and loose.

Well done to all at PSM for this joint venture with Starting Grid the show organisers.

Lets hope the best line up of cars and drivers is available as it is outside all national rallycross championships.

This is certainly the best promotion rallycross can recieve, and to open up the sport to a larger crowd and maybe even fresh blood on the track.

Main thing to do is to get a full grid and invite some big shots from the ERC or national championships from all over Europe.

Well done to the organisers of the event!

That's awesome, it will be great publicity for the sport. And a good way to pass the winter

Looks like an excellent initiative. Is it going to be a competitive 'open' event or a demonstration?

It is great news. Well done Peter and team. This could be a great end of season showcase event to rival the old Grand Prix's

I would hope if it is an invitation event to showcase rallycross to a whole new audience, that all of the UK Div1./Supercar, Supernational/Supermodified drivers will be invited.
Also two grids of the top cars in each of the UK entry level classes (Stockhatch, Minicross & Juniors). Plus a selection of big name drivers from accross Europe.
But I suppose it all depends on how many entrys will be allowed.

Sounds interesting and a great opportunity to really put rallycross back where it belongs in this country. Now lets make sure everyone pulls together on this one and that we get it right.
My only concern is that with the amount of work that will no doubt go into this could mean the superprix suffering a little. I hope im wrong and that we have 2 great events at the end of the year that everyone in rallycross can shout about.

i just got a press release, and www.londonmasters.co.uk is the website for the event.

it says "The 2007 London Masters, organised by The London Motorsport Show in conjunction with Rallycross organisers PSM Motorsport Ltd" which at a guess would mean its R.O.S people you would need to talk to for marshalling

It seems like the difficult choice has already been made by quite a few Rallycross drivers as there are already 50 entered for the event, with still over 4 months to go!

Awesome to see such a good entry list so early.

Its going to be a fabulous event especially with the new format and racing under floodlights.

Check out the website for all the latest info.

Pity for non-islander – just British and two Irish entrants on the list so far…

Apropos, the first floodlit RX ever was the 1990 "Night of the Champions" at Maasmechelen.

I do not think it is perfect for Rallycross! I think it would be better for rallycross if the Frensh and the British national series colaborates with the European championships!!

Why dont the Brittish want to be best???

Excuse my English!!!

Hi Chris,
Went onto the ExCel web site but there was no mention of when or where we could buy tickets and in the press release it told us the cost but not where to buy them. Can you please advise where these can be ordered.
I did PM you but your mail box is full so could you empty it out a bit.
Cheers

Still no Jordan, Carnegie, Doran, JMC, Bellerby, Turpin, Tracey, these boys are needed to give the event any credibility if you ask me from a fan’s perspective. If the best drivers and best cars in the British Championship aren’t there then it doesn’t give a true reflection of Rallycross in this country.

Well Doran, Carnegie, and Tracey are all going to Barbados, JMC doesnt have a car, neither does Turpin at the moment and im sure Bellerby and Jordan will enter soon.

So i would say based upon current available cars then the entry list is very good and will get much better!

So stop knocking things, especially given the fact it is still 4 months to the event!
