750 Cadwell 25th/26th

As the last car race meeting of the year at Cadwell is 750MC on 25th/26th September, how many are coming to join in the fun, and how many are going to be camping?

Pete

KayBee & I will be there!

Camping? No way......sometimes having a sister who lives in Horncastle has its advantages!

There's a gang of six coming over from this side of the pond - camping and campering Friday and Saturday.

Have raced before in Cadwell (and loved it!) but not marshalled, I'm looking forward to seeing the circuit from the other side of the bank.

I'm Mr B ......and I shall be appearing . Feasting in Louth on Friday night before loins are girded first thing Saturday morning. Excellent racing in prospect. Is bodily contact still compulsory in Stock Hatchs??
But cannot enjoy the spectacle quite as much when off-spring is hurling his Caterham around the track.
Last time as unpaid Mercedes chauffeur over the twists & turns of the Wolds............

I'll be there both days but not staying over as someone has to feed the cat and she hasn't got the hang of the new can opener yet!

What's the job count Pete?

(I hope the absentees have a nice time at that other circuit too).

Marshals on my list are 39/48 for Sat/Sun respectively. These should be added to Mr Watson's count which is, as usual, defined as "ok". Take off possible no shows and the final figure is somewhere between No enough and plenty.
Messrs Watson and Franks are elsewhere but I'm hoping we can cover them. (what with, is the next missing words competition??)

Bad clash of events chaps, I would normally be there for this one despite the long drive but unfortunatly, the lure of the (last round of the) Touring Cars just edged it this time.

Hope to make it back to Cadwell next season, I've missed my fix this year!

I don’t somehow think we could get away with zero jobs Pete. I suspect we would get thrown out of the raffle. However, we may be able to share a job and still be eligible for that all important raffle prize! I have prepared a list of possible jobs for your consideration:

Gate operator – post 4
Gate operator – post 9
Gate operator – top of middle road
Gate operator – post 19
Telephone operator – post 5
Telephone operator – post 20
Telephone operator – post 22
Spectator Marshal – ground floor Race Control
Spectator Marshal – first floor Race Control
Spectator Marshal – top floor Race Control
Fire cover – Assembly area
Course car 1’s back seat passenger
Course car 2’s back seat passenger

Let me know if any of these take your fancy.

Before anyone else asks: you may not volunteer for any of these duties in advance. The only persons eligible would be anyone officially declared “jobless” at the conclusion of the Marshals’ briefing on either day by those organizing signing – on.

dogsbody, none of those jobs would be wise for me, there would be chaos in unusual places.
