Zytek 1-2 at Silverstone

Even when Quifel could have won it were it not for a strange blockade imposed by a marshall, the Zytek 1-2 in LMP2 was quite a performance. We knew what Barazi-Epsilon can do and the lack of luck they had until Spa but LNT was simply amazing. Danny Watts and Tom K-S showed what they can do on a proto with a team making ther debut in the class!!! They were demolishing the petrol LMP1s in a track like Silverstone...the first laps with Danny attacking Muecke were something to remember. I wonder what these guys can do with a bit more mileage on the car...

Supposedly a "one off" to showcase the guys driving talents. Just wondering if Lawrence is thinking maybe he should let them play all the time!

The performance of the LNT Zytek was extraordinary, both in qualifying and the race itself. I found myself questioning the specification of the engine in the LNT (factory

) Zytek. Was it really the same specification as the one in the Barazi car? And if it was, are Tom and Danny in fact the quickest drivers in the Series?

Whatever the answers to the above, I just hope this weekend's events convince Lawrence Tomlinson to go the Zytek LMP2 route next year (PLEASE!!!!

).

According to Michael Vergers, the fast guy in the Barazi team, their had a softer set-up than the LNT car, which suits their drivers better. Anyway, LNT ran with two pros, and Barazi with one and two gentlemen....

i hope LNT go down the LMP2 route full time, the LNT car was so much better under braking than the epsilon car and quicker through the corner's, epsilon made a great move before club, outbraking a porsche and the works courage at the same time, it was one hell of a move and i was so made up, the team's i was supporting came 7th overall(arena) and 1st and 2nd in LMP2 (epsilon and LNT).

now perhaps arena and epsilon should shimmy over to petit in a few weeks so i can cheer them on even more

Lets get Shimmy-San (Shimoda) into one as well and watch some real fireworks.....he was sorely missed from the LMP1 Arena effort this w/e. Great performance from the LMP2s though.

If LNT can put in performances like that (lets face it, their qualifying effort was mega), it does make you wonder just how much they are missing out on much-deserved success by running the Panoz in GT2, and also maybe highlights the shortfalls in the Esperante this year?

Indeed, the Esperante on both sides of the Atlantic is having a huge disadvantage compared to Ferrari and Porsche. Now the Spyker improvements make that more evident even...

I cant see LNT doing this just to showcase the drivers abilities ..... They are not happy about the lack of development on their Panoz's , and are on the market for another car . I reckon they put on a brilliant show at Silverstone and this can only make them more interested in the Zytek .

groovyness, i have someone to scream my lungs out for in a few weeks

, now add another zytek *looks at barazi epsilon* and i will then have plenty of team's to cheer for, arena of course, andretti green and fernandez.

on planetlemans it says its tom chilton and max chilton on the petit entry list though btw, dont know if i clicked on the silverstone entrylist by accident though.
