Lydden Hill

Does anyone have any details of who bought the lease etc for Lydden Hill and how will it run next year for meetings.

Rich S.
There is a thread running on ''Trackside'' about Lydden, nothing definite as yet.

No details as of yet and I'll imaging I'll hear pretty much as soon as its announced.

It was due to be announced a couple of weeks ago, but the involved parties hadn't reached an amicable decision.

Rod Birley should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Most of the meetings for 2008 had already been settled, so don't expect too much change. Currently there are five rallycross events scheduled, the BARC have taken four dates (April 12th, June 28/29, Sept.6 and Oct 4). The BRSCC have asked for an August date (probably 2nd or 3rd), SEMSEC will probably continue with their dates.
There doesn't seem to be many motorcycle events listed as yet.
Hopefully the annual "festival of motorsport" will continue in it's recent format.

Darn, even for me that one is difficult Jon. Help!
750 at Lydden or a great little rally near Spa? Decisions, decisions.

Peter,
Is that the only 750MC date at Lydden, next year. If so, I'll have to make a note in my diary to be there.

Thanks Chezza, not worried about ''hook-ups'', but can you camp overnight there for marshals?

Usually you can camp overnight, but you have to let the circuit know beforehand.

2 dayers aren't usualy too much of a problem as a lot of the drivers stay over, but still wise to let the circuit know. I've camped over previously.

Why do you not phone the circuit and ask rather than speculate on a forum

There are a few hook ups if you get there early enough, the ones I have seen are on the raised car park by Hairy Hill. There is also plenty of space for a caravan and there are a few marshals vans already there.

Chessa - The question was about " hook up availability" and you said you did not know for certain that is why I said contact the circuit - nothing else

I think the speculation bit got lost in translation but getting back to the question of asking on here, it's easier to ask on here than wait until the off chance that someone will be near a phone at Lydden, from experience they don't work normal office hours during the week.

I can't recall having ever seen any and I've been there when the paddock is empty, thats why I said I think. I wasn't speculating in any why shape or form. Chris there should be somewhere for you to put a caravan, yes.
