Without a doubt the best thing this year is how the European Championship has gone from strength to strength and hopefully next year will see more of our boys venturing across the water. Highlights in this country? In all honesty I think it has been a very diappointing year that had so much potential, and if anything we have gone backwards so to finish on a positive i say Ben Power!

- Don Shannons Volvo - great to see a big rear wheel drive back in Rallycross.
- Weather at the Superprix - The Jordan pass at the August Lydden meeting - great drives from Andrew and Pat and great entertainment. - Patrick Watts in the Historics at Lydden at Easter - That 6R4`s and an RS200 continue to be raced in 2007, for us that remember group B, and for all those too young to have heard a 6R4 on full song in their heyday. - That visitors crossed the channel for the Lydden meetings, Maris Luc, Van Mechelen shame he didn`t complete a heat and Johan Jacobs, for doing what super national do best - lots of tyre smoke after his August Final, despite the "Donut" ban. - Mark Watson and Ollie O` Donovan for sponsoring events. - Bardy back in a supercar - please finish the second astra if the still have it. - Three cheers for Tracey, Evans, Nesbitt, Bell and Doran for having a go in the ERC. - Great racing all year from the Juniors with Thom and Gynne making sure the boys didn`t have all the glory. - The Revivals class for the sheer variety of cars that the class brought to the tracks this year. - The unique atmosphere at any Rallycross event - always lots of cheers, oo`s and rr`s. - Arthur D`s commentary, that just bubbles with excitement for the sport we all love so much. |

Also, who has it that drove and finished the race at Momarken this year with only three years? That was a moment to remember.

Van Mechelen @ Lydden

We kunnen ondertussen ook al iets meer zeggen over het programma van 2008. Naast het Belgisch en Nederlands kampioenschap zal ook tijd gemaakt worden voor één of meer buitenlandse uitstapjes. Hierbij wordt ook gedacht aan een wedstrijd in Lydden Hill, waar Patrick nog iets recht te zetten heeft. try to translate this: We can say some more about the 2008 program. Beside Belgium and Holland we try some foreign trips. We think about Lydden Hill, where Patrick has some things to do... Hi Guys Hope you are all having a great Christmas .
Ok I have let you all have your say now its my turn !! Firstly have to say the 40th at Lydden was good but !! There was another 40th party the weekend Rallycross started 40 years ago nearly to the day too !! There have been a many great moments this year but have to mention , firstly Going to Newcastle for the Superprix Media Day a first for Rallycross !!and the weekend was so great finishing before darkness set in too!!! Then London Masters must be up there too another first !! First MSA sanctioned event in London and under lights and many said it wouldnt ever happen ! Last but by no way least the Open championship was a great success with ever increasing entries all year Heres to a great 2008 Last edited by chris cake; 25 Dec 2007 at 14:38. |

Ok, my top moments of 2007
It all started with the Lydden Hill easter monday weekend, very nice event and I will return in 2008 Waldfridsson returning with a stunning Clio III The French ERC event that showed a massive entry field in D1. Being able to help HRracing (in a very modest way) as a ordinary spectator in their conquest of the low-lands Meeting all the nice people in my visits to numerous events all over Europe. It really felt like a big family! The ERC-final in Ceska Lipa was absolutely brilliant!!! The after-party also!! and still in 2007 the first plans unveiled for 2008 that makes me realise that the best has yet to come: * Pat taking control over Lydden * Jernberg makes a monster-team * Radstrom comming with another unique car * and so much more.... |

i think Dave Bellerby taking an overall win in a 2wd car.
The london masters should of been the highlight of the year but it just failed to live up to the hype, hope peter and team learn from it and its better for next year. Another briliant superprix Nice to see Per Ekland and and few other european supercar driver out playing in Britian hopefully the start of an invasion Its been a frustrating year for me and my team but we finally got out to race and then evem more frustrating, never mind roll on 2008. |

For me the best thing that has happened all year is this

Agreed, to much conversation on here about this rubbish and not enough about rallycross, I am as guilty as the next man of that, but it HAS to happen.

Only time it will happen is when one of the organisations is on the brink of collapse and wants to keep face.
Hopefully the BRDA will focus its attention on Lydden and get a ERC round back to the only track worthy. Three or four rounds at Lydden, a couple at Croft, a long weekend at Mondello and maybee one round at Pembry - that all it needs for a championship. |

It would be nice to see the British vs Europe and it would be even more nice to see all the Div 1 cars on a truly fast circuit as the European ones are slow (especially Belgium)... |

Pass of the year must go to Tony Bell on final lap at Blyton over Mad Mark. Final corner errrrr sideways 60 yards or more prior to apex. Not sure if there was actually contact to make it that sideways hard to tell from footage but made great spectacle anyway!
