Nexus should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
AMOC - Mallory 27/04/08

Anyone else down for this one?

My instruction letter says I'm on Startline/Pits, which should be interesting as I've never done it before.
Any tips or hints from anyone?

I shall be there as we are providing a rescue unit (Mercia Rescue) for the meeeting.

For advice on pits search the forum for just that. One of our members has written a "How to. . ." guide.

Regards.

The way you've worded that implies that you didn't volunteer for startline/pits!

I didn't! I said I was a trainee when I volunteered and got an email back asking where I'd like to work, I said I'd have a go at anything so this must be where they want me. Not arguing, It's always good to learn new things

Go on Dave, you made this comment deliberately, so I will duly oblige.

Ain't the fact that you and KayBee are there sufficient cause for panic????

Nexus, most important hint -- ENJOY!! Play safe, read Sheila's guide if you get a chance, be polite but firm, don't be afraid to ask questions if you are unsure of anything. Also important -- no under sixteens or smoking in the pitlane.

You will have more interaction with the drivers and teams than being on the bank, remember at the end of the day, we are all here to enjoy motorsport.

As C9/89 has already pointed out, I'm having a quiet season - only one red flag so far!

What a great day I had on Post 2. I was with a great bunch of marshals and the weather held off until the last race.

A cracking day up on post 10 as well (we got rain in the last 2 races though) Thanks to my flaggies for a good day's training.

Great to see some very gentlemanly driving as well as some really close racing.

Cheers, David

After all my worries I had a great time learning new stuff in the Assembly area and Start line. I don't think we did a bad job really to say 3 first-time trainees were looking after it, Vi and Bob were good teachers may I add.

Cheers to Steve, Jimmy, Liz, Vi, Bob and all the drivers for putting up with us.
