THIM should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Phoenix Park Motor Races 2008

Hi, the event's website is currently being updated, and I'm making my holidays plans and thougt about taking part. So I have few questions, which maybe any of you could answer - I would like to rent some car and don't know, what kind would be good - surely Uno, but what else - Punto, Abarth, Caterham, Formula Vee, maybe Mondeo-looking cars? Could you advice me, who schould I contact? Next question - what fireproof clothes are obligatory in Ireland, could it be 86 homologated underwear and overalls and 2000 helmet? And is international licence accepted (I'm Polish)? I will be happy to know all your ideas and sugestions

Don't get too excited as I don't think there are any Phoenix Park Motor Races in 2008

Sorry to disappoint you THIM, but this year's Phoenix Park races have been cancelled due to a lack of funding. There are some rumours about its future (such as running it bi-annually and charging admission) but as far as I know nothing has been confirmed yet.

That's bad news, is it sure? I thought, that it's Ireland's biggest racing event...

I read yesterday that there are plans to resurface the main road of the park.Great! I thought....but..the plans include a permanent roundabout at mountjoy cross! Is this the final nail in the coffin?

Farbrooke has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
I was told two weeks ago the roundabout is to be positioned to allow for racing
