Also on Setanta Sports 2 and other broadcasters. They say they have blacked it out in some countries, but it hasn't been in the past. |

Why are the gaps between the drivers in this series so huge?

In qualifying I think it's due to the format - see below:

All free practice sessions were run with a wet track but on quali it was dry. Olympiakos ran qualifying with a wet set-up as the team running the said car didn't have the time to repear the car from an off half way in FP2 and change the set up.

They always do that - Andrew Mariott with a mini-Ron Atkinson re. Spain?

Both races live on Eurosport 2... with commentary that IS aware it's on air - for a change...
Also, both Jerez races are live on Eurosport 2 Dominick Muermans is a late substitution for Paul Meijer in the Al-Ain car... seems Meijer DID break bones in his hand crashing in qualifying - the car also had to be replaced, as there was damage to the tub... Muermans did some rookie running but otherwise new to the cars... didn't do a bad job... Liverpool lost 4th on the final lap (unseen by the TV director) dropping to 9th with fuel pressure problems... the team thinks all will be well for Race 2... HiTech (that runs Liverpool car) has also taken over running the Porto entry... ADR (Alan Docking - 'the Doc') is still running the Rangers car... A massive brake lock-up for the Roma car not long before the end was obviously a bigger problem, as Franck Perera parked the car in the pits on the final lap... Race 2 live at 1400CET on Eurosport 2... see you there |

Huge thumbs up to Stamatis Katsimis for his amazing debut! To see him closing in to an ex GP2 driver and safely ahead of a current UK FR2000 champion made everybody over here very, very proud.
Martin, get used to Greek names, we have drivers with way more difficult surnames than Katsimis |
