Tommy Byrne - Vote for the book

Hey, if any of you get a chance maybe you could take 2 minutes to go and vote for Tommy Byrne's book for book of the year. It is a great read and his formula ford days are great to read through! If you haven't got it you don't know what your missing! www.irishsportsbookoftheyear.com

My copy is sitting snugly under the tree as we speak (so I'm lead to believe).

All I'll need to do on Xmas day is try and find somewhere quiet away from Nintendos, children, annoying relatives and other associated beeping/flashing/buzzing toys.

I have downed a pint in a pub with Tommy Byrne, in Salinas, near Laguna Seca.
He is pictured in the log book of my Anson SA7 FF, being the "shakedown driver" when it was new in the mid 80's.
The car is nicely restored/original, and for sale w/ spares--$15 k. US

Anyone know a way to get his book in the states--I'm near San Francisco.
Or a contact to Tommy, for an autographed copy?

Cheers,
Mike McHugh

Recommend it! Gives a refreshingly honest spin on the motor-racing world. That guy had a knack of getting himself into some scrapes. Makes me feel almost normal.
