Dave Brand: 65 not out and a Trophy too......

I've heard about White Christmas's but Dave's celebrating a White birthday and I'm not talking about his hair.

He was awarded the Regent trophy at the BARC NW dinner on Saturday Night.

Congratulations also go to: Andy Butler (Off Circuit), John Wood (Marshal of the Year) and Margaret Simpson (Ladies Trophy).

Well done on both counts Dave, as you said I thought you had to do something to get awards? After your "quiet" season are we to expect things as normal!?

Ah! I see it all. Non-centre = off-centre = eccentric.

So Dave's got the eccentric marshal's trophy. And he's an engineer too!

I did think you had to do something to get awards; however, having been a recipient myself, I now realise that doing nothing is a good tactic. You're remembered by your mistakes...do nowt & you don't make any!

I'm expecting another quiet year...but I won't be able to avoid Water Tower for the whole season.

Congratulations, Dave. You're going to have to spend next winter building a trophy cabinet at this rate.
