NASCAR Sprint Cup: 2010 ALLSTAR Race, Charlotte Motor Speedway
Schedule:
Showdown/Allstar Practice Noon/130PM EST today (Friday) Showdown/Allstar Q-ing 5PM/6PM EST today (Friday) Showdown 7PM EST Saturday, ALL STAR Race 9PM EST Saturday Looks like weather will be a factor, again....chances of T-storms today and tomorrow, and seemingly increases closer to race time. JAYSKI Race Page has all you need to know. Winners from the last year qualify. (Mears in for Vickers) Bobby Labonte has previous champ's invite. Dale Jr gets the former All Star winner invite. Top 2 from the Showdown advance and the Fan Vote will add a third. VOTE for John Paul and Taz, HERE, kids.  one vote per hour, BTW.

Q' ing for the All Star race was rained out. They drew numbers from a hat and Kurt Busch is gifted the pole with Joey Logano outside front row. Should make for an interesting first few laps with some potentially fast cars starting in the rears.
ALL STAR RACE LINEUP Showdown Q' ing will finish up shortly after the track is dried with four cars left to go. John Paul Montana is currently on the provisional pole with a 188.055. |

Nope. Sorry, but Mother Nature stole the pole from Montoya. David Ragan wins the pole as the field is set by QUALIFYING ORDER. Max Papis will start 2nd. They decided not to want any longer.

well that stinks and too bad for JPM but good for Bill Elliott; moved up about 20 starting spots thanks to the rain.
and i agree, both of these are going to get ugly right from the start. |

Martin Truex, Jr. passed Greg Bifle with about 6 laps left and takes the Showdown win. Both Truex and Bifle advance to the Big Race.

kyle blew his tire after attempting to pass his teammate where there was no room, resulting in blowing his tire and collecting the 9. kyle can't whine about anyone but himself.
