Le Mans Challenge
This challenge is to redisign the Bugatti Circuit. The Sarthe circuit should remain unchanged for the 24hrs. However renovate the Bugatti circuit so that it can hold F1. All of the other facilities are already there so Le Mans is a logical location for F1 in france in the future.
Heres what i came up with http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=3815040 By the way my excuse this time for why Pinnacle is not done is that my computer has been sent out to be fixed for the last week or so. |

Roy's option seems a very logical and do-able choice, as it doesn't over-ride too much and uses much of the same track that's already there.

Trying to use as much of the Sarthe circuit as I felt I could get away with. Is 5 miles a bit too long? |

I have to say that I like all the tracks so far, but a little more info. Those tracks using Tetre Rouge (the corner before Mulsanne sstraight) may like to redesign their tracks. There is now a sports stadium of some kind been built on the inside of the corner (doesnt show on Goggle Maps).
My favourite is the one that uses the Maison Blanche circuit, as it seems to interrupt the full Endurance circuit the least. Of course, being F1, Tilke will have to get invovled and remove anything that might retain heritage or use of any other circuits, but nice try all. |

I've redeveloped my previous proposal. I used parts of the 24 hour track, then cut it at Tertre Rouge (which I will make a double 90 corner), then the track flows through some of the best parts of the streets nearby, then returning to the original penultimate corner of the Bugatti Circuit.

Here's my idea, I don't know how to use Gmaps so I drew on a Google Earth Picture instead.
I used some of the Bugatti circuit, but most of the track is new. The chicane on the back straight would be simillar to the chicanes on the Mulsanne. |

I like the Mulsanne style chicane as well. I would describe it as Le Mans without being Le Mans Overall, good job! |

My changes to Le Mans are detailed below:
The Bugatti track follows the 24h track through the fast sweepers of "Virage de La Chapelle", then leaves before "Virage Tertre Rouge" at "Virage Bugatti". The right hand hairpin at "Virage Pierre Levegh" goes onto a section of track parallel to the old circuit, along "Avenue Juan Manuel Fangio", towards the tight right left corners of "Virage Musee", where it meets a cut through track from "Dunlop Chicane". A fast uphill straight parallel to the Le Mans Technoparc, with a cut through track to "S Ford". The track ascends exponentially steeply in the final 300 metres of "Avenue Technoparc". Just after the apex of "Epingle Ickx", the track loses all the attitude attained on the climb along "Avenue Technoparc" in less than 250 metres. A "mini Corkscrew", if you will. A off camber 90 right at "Virage Kristensen" takes the Bugatti circuit back onto the 24h circuit. The final change is the replacement of the double chicane of "S Ford", with two tight 90 degree bends. This new track is 5.87 km long, with a maximum straight length of 1200m ("Avenue Technoparc") The land on which the Bugatti circuit is today would be turned into additional paddock space, additional village space and two new campsites. Other improvements include new Spectator tunnels; - Underneath Mulsanne before "Ralentisseur Playstation" - Underneath straight between "Virage Kristensen" and "S Ford" - Underneath link track between "Dunlop Chicane" and "Virage Musee" - Underneath link track between "Avenue Technoparc" and "S Ford" And new permanent Spectator bridges; - Over "Avenue Juan Manuel Fangio" - Over "Avenue Technoparc" - Over link track between "Dunlop Chicane" and "Virage Musee" With the exception of modifications to "S Ford" and the removal of the fast kink between "Virage Kristensen" and "S Ford", the 24h track is unaltered. The Maison Blanche track (in orange) is mostly unaltered from its 2007 modifications, with the exception of a optional chicane at "Virage Kristensen". The go kart track (Circuit Alain Prost) would be demolished and rebuilt on the other side of the 24h track (South of the current location). Hope you like my track! Bugatti track - Blue 24h track - red New Maison Blanche track - orange pit lane - green |

Recreating the Mulsanne straight on the shorter track is an inspired suggestion, so here's a second attempt, comes out at around 4.5 miles. I've not so much 'renovated' the Bugatti circuit as 'obliterated' it, though:
