Sentul & Lippo Village Challenge
You've probably heard a circuit in Indonesia named Lippo Village. That circuit should have been used for races such as A1GP, but then A1GP collapsed due to the global financial crisis before even able to host their first race there.
Since then, both of Indonesia's renowned international motorsport venues, the Lippo Village Street Circuit and Sentul Circuit are left stranded, with Lippo Village being almost abandoned (except the paddock building which is still used as a class building for a local university), and being the only host of the 6 rounds of the Indonesian Series of Motorsport, Sentul rarely hosts any international events now. Challenge Design Sentul and Lippo Village so that it could host races as large as F1. Sentul just needs more challenge and length. Will get on that later.
Lippo on the other hand just doesn't have any space so I'll leave it. Was it even used after the inaugural national races |

Last month I got a chance to see the whole track with my eyes, and what I see is just tyre walls everywhere, the path to the permanent track section remained closed. But as I said, at least the paddock is still getting used. I also have went to Sentul once to watch an AF3 race, but that's the time when Sentul haven't yet got their FIA Grade 2 License. Yes, I don't see any proper space on the track, but there may be possibilities to make the track go round the mall area, but the roads there are just too narrow and that only extends the track a few hundred meters. http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=3833059 Last edited by resir014; 25 Jun 2010 at 02:21. |

Reportedly, the main challenge at Sentul comes up for a driver when he's stranded in a gravel trap and cannot get out because of snakes crawling around inside of those gravel traps. I guess that's enough for a challenge - and it's one which is pretty unique to this track, luckily.

Challenge: design a snake for any gravel traps of Sentul. It must have a straight section of at least 50 cm and at least one hairpin. The snake width cannot exceed the 10 cm limit set in the FIA regulations for snakes
