Another attempt to get under 10 minutes… Like father (Rod), like son? |

That's a pretty extreme piece of kit! Any news on who else will be in the unlimited class this year? Presumably "Monster" will be there and the MSE cars? Any news on the Mach2 RS200 anywhere? If all that lot run out it'll be a cracking event

Why haven't they mounted the wing higher? Are there rules governing this (unlimited class!?)?

It is on, the PPIHC 2010 is today. AFAIK it has never been that early, always been in July. "Monster", Rhys Millen and Paul Dallenbach are the only competitors in the Unlimited Category.

Definitely surprising, just not the kind of surprise I think we expected. With Millen bringing the thunder this year and Tajima bringing it as usual, I thought for sure this would be the year 10 minutes was blown away. It'll be interesting to see if Millen brings back the same piece next year. If he doesn't, what will he think of next? |

thx, rx-guru. Pike Peak is an American classic.
what a great event and what a great tragedy it was a victim of espn's slash of motorsports coverage. is there anything else other than what you can find on u2b for coverage of this event? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fanfGV4z7yU this event is on my racing bucket list! |

That's early! It's slipped under the radar a bit this year hasn't it? I haven't seen anything about it in the press.

The car looks awesome, like an "gravel" Group C racer...
750 bhp seems a bit low for an 4.1 liter, even with small turbo's to reduce lag! No ALS? Could be 900 bhp and still plenty of torque... Suzuki looks to have more speed uphill... The Millen seems to struggle, not as willing to rev like on the test track, but hey uphill is a heavy load! |

Lol makes me laugh what Rohrl and Vatanen were able to do in their cars on a full gravel track!! I think if either were in these cars records would last forever!

Strange enough but with the track nowadays covered with tarmac for about 50% the times have not become faster. I understood that the main problem is that they have narrowed the tarmac parts while the original gravel parts were much wider and thereby faster.

That Red Bull Hyundai just looks wrong - too much tarmac?
