The return of Goodyear?

This rumour came from Murray walker so I can't tell you if it is genuine or not be he said that Goodyear maybe making a return to F1 in the near future! I'm not sure it will happen but that would sure make it even more interesting would it not. rather than having Michelin only really troubling Bridgestone when it is fairly warm, we could have a cold weather challenge for BS. we were all sad to see them leave, and michelin added some spice back into the mix but i would like to see Goodyear back again to make it even more interesting. It would be interesting to see who would sign up for Goodyear, would it not?

The top teams that would jump to sign the Goodyear if they make a return (say next year) would be Mclaren (Ferrari signed Bridgestone, Williams stick with Michelin), even Jaguar or Renault who tries to get the jump on their rivals to be the first work team for Goodyear.

Its tricky how Ferrari could sign BS. Michelin made tremendous efforts this year and performed greatly in warm weathers which makes up most of the Calander's races. Furthermore, what tires are Toyota running on? If its the Bridgestone, would the loyal Japanese in BS not helping their counter parts out and neglect Ferrari?

More interesting, if BS-Toyota works perfectly and Renault-Michelin is great, we could see a Japanese domination or French domination in F1. (not now..but the future?)What could the british and italian teams then do about it?

Toyota will be running with Michelin next year.

As for the Goodyear rumour, the company now says that pulling out of F1 was a big mistake, because the lack of global exposure has affected the company's profit and sales. The Goodyear company said expect them back within 3 years.

As for who would go to them, it would be out of McLaren and Ferrari, plus a couple of smaller teams.

The head of Goodyear racing went to a race this year. (Can't remember which one.) They are studying the idea of reentering F1. Rumor is that many top brass at Goodyear regret ever pulling out of F1 in the first place.
My money is on them coming back within the next few years.
