Timetable is here http://www.msvracing.co.uk/media/149...%20gp%20f2.pdf

Details of the raffle etc are here http://www.msvracing.co.uk/marshalling.aspx

Any pits and startline marshals would be especially welcome to save me having to run too far!

Thanks for the timetable link, Piglet. Exactly what I needed. I shall be there both days and will make a point of coming to see you. It sounds as though you will be in the pit lane rather than race control?

Strider, I'll be everywhere I suspect! It will depend on how many pits/startline marshals we have. It will be nice to see you, haven't seen you for ages.

The Lotus drivers have invited all marshals to the Lotus paddock between 18.30 & 20.00 on Saturday evening where a band will be playing.

You'll have to wait until Oulton the following weekend! (April 23 & 25)

Looking forward to the first Silverstone visit of the year and as always the Elise competitors make us welcome, I understand that they will be making contributions to the marshal's raffle as normal.

Should be a good weekend.

Hi,

I've never marshalled at Silverstone before. I'm more of an Oulton Park regular.

I'm planning on camping, I hear there's a marshal campsite near Copse Corner. Can I just rock up and pitch my tent on Friday night?

Any protocol or essential info I should know about?

Where do incident marshals sign on?

Yup, we arrived about midnight last weekend, no problem of access. You take a left as you go through the security gate, follow perimeter road round to just past the 'Bridge Shop' and then look for a gate on the left hand side of the road into a
grassy area - that's campsite.

Yes, provide beer and chips to anyone who has beaten you onto the campsite

Go through the 'Copse Tunnel' <-- that's the tunnel just outside the campsite Then take second right down a small roadway between pitlane and paddock, down to Paddock Diner, then join the queue!

Enjoy

The guys on the entry gate will point you towards the copse campsite, and people on the campsite will point you onwards, I only do the odd Silverstone meeting but everyone is freindly and helpfull. Come and say hello, I shall be in the slightly odd looking green tent with a landrover.

I've heard something similar. Certainly the Oulton races have been removed from the event timetable as have references to the competition on MSVR's website.

Entries list dated today is here http://www.msvracing.co.uk/media/159...17%20april.pdf

Fair sized grids for most sessions and reserves list for Elise folk, like the look of the mix in the other Lotus listing too. Minis could do with a few more. Notice the boy Tiff is out in a cobra & Tony Jardine in a 911 for the Heritage, but my eyes will be on the Pantera.

The racing has been good today with most keeping it on the black stuff, with a few exceptions.

The Cobra looks well prepared, but (and I hate to say it) it doesn't look good in orange! There are a couple of "Top Gear Technology Centre Prepared" cars here, worryingly 27 has the name J.Clarkson in the window!

The Lotus Cup Teams did a fine job in supplying beer, music, BBQ and banter in equal measures this evening, lets see how they cope with an hour long race tomorrow.

Well done to Jon Tillott on winning a 2 week all inclusive holiday to Grenada, I think Jon is now checking the internet to see if there are any motorsport events he can attend whilst there.

Good couple of days at Becketts Centre. Some good racing to keep an eye on and kept fairly busy (more so on Saturday, particularly with the Lotii).

A pleasure to put tenths tag to face spending time with PapaJuliet, as well.
