A tool thief confesses.
I feel bad about this. My only defence is that I did it in good faith, and have been trying to make amends, but I did take a tool, without their permission! Perhaps I can return it through 10/10ths.
Were you are Snetterton for the Four Hour Relay on the 2nd October last? I was, and my car broke down. Needing to get it back on track, and needing a particular tool (not a a 'special' tool) I scouted the garages, and found just the thing! There were people there, who I asked, but they said something like, oh, he'll be back soon. I was DESPERATE. I took the tool, telling the people which garage I was from. (I'm saying all this in my own defence - it's indefencible) Repair completed I went out again, and in the excitement, didn't return the tool, until the race was finished and we were packing up. The garage of the tool owner was empty, and even worse, now I've forgotten the number. Afterwards, the MGCC gave me a contact for the team in the garage that was my best guess, but they haven't got back to me, so I presume it wasn't them. So, if someone stole a tool from your garage that afternoon, it was probably me. I apologise, and can only do my best to return it. PM me, please. Tell me the tool you are missing and your postal address, and if I have it, I will get it back to you, I promise. John (aka Light Fingered Len) |

Good luck. You're a true gent.
Oh and the guy who borrowed a fire extinguisher at the WTCC meet a couple of years ago... |
