2012 V8Supercar Championship Series Driver's Champion
First day of the 20-dozen year, and what the V8SA media releases claim to be only 61 days until practice starts in Adelaide, for the Clipsal 500.. its time to see who we, the passionate fanbase of V8Supercar (either in favour or opposed..) believes will be the 2012 V8Supercar Championship Series Driver's Champion.
For me... I suspect it will stay a Holden team, but not necessarily 888. Now is Mr Tander's time to shine.. and it will be hard to go past him for a successful 2012 campaign Lets see... What are your thoughts? |

For me it's Will Davison , I think he has got his brain around how the FPR car works and he seems to have more mongrel in him than Winterbottom , the FPR cars have the pace and they seem to now know how to make the soft tyre work and Campbell Little is no dunce , also think the Giz could be a major threat particularly with Holdsworth in the team to push him.
888 will be hard to beat , but it's not impossible. |

i suspect T8 to be still up to the pointy end, but with Lee H at SBR and Gis improving, they wil challenge, also look out fo Will D and GT to come back, outsider to get a move on will be Michael Curuso.

I think Frosty will be leading the championship in 2012 and then the world will end. (Still a better result than T8 walking away with another championship).

T8 will continue on from where they left off in 2011. The only team capable of giving them a run for their money is FPR. The rest are there for entertainment value only.

I'd love to say #9 (I did vote for it) but the reality is 888 are so far in front of the other teams it would have to take a scandal of Melbourne Storm proportions or a major workshop explosion to stop them.
FPR, SBR & HRT will all have their weekend in the sun, but it will be J Dub in a canter. |

As much as I want Frosty to win his first title, I reckon that Will Davo will come out the 2012 Champ.

Yes, I have a strong feeling Will is going to have his best season ever.
His and Whincup's duel at Clipsal last year was a cracker, I expect the year to start similarly. |

Sick of 888
Lets hope Ford can put up a better effort this year. I know now how holden supporters felt when they ran falcons.

i'm a diehard GMH fan but am sick of the 888 dominance, i'll be happy for any other Holden team to beat them this year.
however in saying that, they are the best at what they do...... |

Everyone said the same when HRT was winning everything, and then Ambrose when he was here. Don't care which red team win's, as long as this season produces the variety of winners, we had for part of the season before JW sealed the deal.

I've followed Brighty to every team he has been to since I first took notice of him in the original Pirtek Falcon back in 98, and I think he will give it a damn good show this year for team BOC, with a third season with BJR. Though tough, 888 can be beaten.

Interesting that we have one ambitious punter banking on a championship for our old buddy TBC, aboard the #91 Tekno Commodore... Maybe they know something we all dont

Yeah and the number of Staff and The Budget That They Have............ $$$$$$$$ get a team to the front and keep them there its really simple. Look at DJR they spent half of their 2011 budget getting JC to the title in 2010 and were buggered once the funds dried up towards the end of 2011. No $$$$ = No Deveolpment simple as that. |

Very tru points there but, i still think that all teams should have to make their expense budgets public. It would be interesting to see just how much is spent
