Just to give a bit more info, Reg bought a Modsport E Type from a friend of mine. I borrowed the car for my friends 90th b/day party at Brooklands last year, The present owner has asked me to help trace the history of chassis 850066 as the people who rebuilt it are being a little coy about its antecedents.

My memory of Reg was that he drove a very quick TR (3?) which used to get amongst the hot DB4s many years ago!

I seem to remember that Reg Woodcock was involved in the accident at Silverstone where sadly two marshal's died (one of them a friend of mine). Although it was a freak accident, how much racing did Reg do after that?
