the GIZ to quit ?
Surely not at his age? Would be a massive loss to the sport.

I heard this from a friend the other day, who also said Shane might be looking at getting into drifting professionally with Monster at his side. If he gets into it, does well and becomes something overseas it could be good fun. It'd probably also fit in well with his attitudes towards the sport. Rattla are already developing a car for him for next season's D1NZ series.
That's what I've been told anyways. We'll see how it all unfolds. Sad to see him leave the Taxi's though as a big fan of his. |

Is this just a thing to get him to fpr a year on the sidelines then back to fpr??

You would have to say he would make a decent penny from a ST drive, drifting and then he would also have to be the most sought after enduro driver and If the FPR rumours are true I'm sure Charlie would tip some money into Shane's gardening leave fund. Will be interesting

I suspect there maybe some funny business going on behind the scenes.
Whether it comes to light or not, who knows? |

dissapointing
But when i think about it, I'm not surprised. Not sure Shane loved the spotlight and certainly not a fan of all the politics and nit picking rules |

I find it hard to believe this move would be motivated by not wanting to drive a car with a non-Ford body next year.... and would be a pretty pathetic reason if that was the case, given how little 'Ford' there is (or any other make) in the CotF-spec cars from 2013.
Maybe he has literally just had enough & wants a break, he has been racing in the series full time, in another country, since he was 17. |
