Pre War Sports Car Racing
Seems that 2015 could be start of resurgence of Pre War stuff with two major races mixed with VSCC and odd AMOC race.
Onwards and upwards for races with proper cars for real people! |

I'd like to see more, seeing as the stories of Bentley at Le Mans and the tiddlers from MG, not to mention Aston and FN have and always will be an inspiration.
Sadly I don't get the chance at the moment, but retirement is only a few years away. |

Three 40 minute races with a couple of short VSCC races are enough for these old nails.
It could be good but with the escalation in values am concerned about getting decent grids. |

Silverstone classic
If you believe the motor racing legends website, there will also be a pre war race at the classic this year, the first for at least four years........as you say john let's hope there is a sizeable turnout!

Silverstone Festival includes race for Pre Wars and historically it always had an oversubscribed grid but that was years ago.
Let's see if it happens again. They need to run the Team prize and a handicap within the race as Bob Wood did at Christies and Coys Festival to maintain interest throughout field. It will be interesting to see what happens along with the Earl Howe at the Members Meeting and Brooklands Trophy at Revival. These meetings with the Flying Scotsman and Alpine will make for full dance card. Pity that we can't fit in 1000 mile trial run by Hero but that's another story. |

It is confirmed that a Pre War Sports Car race will be held at Goodwood Revival.
That's four major Pre War Sports Car events including MRL races. Not bad if the class is to return to the Larger Festival Race Meetings At least they offer something different from the mass of 60/70's GT and Saloon races! Assume if you didn't have those the people on here would have now't to write about. |
