Old Brno

I know there is the current Brno racing circuit, but it is like the A1 Ring with the Ostereichring, or the old nurburgring with the neww, when you compare the current Brno with the old Brno street circuit.

On the old Brno, was the track shortened by half sometime in the late 70s or early 80s, on the ETC history site it seems so???

I know the track hasn't been used since the ETC round in 1986, but why was it stopped being used, and did any other classes use the track, and as the pits are still standing, would there be any hope that racing could return one day.

Completly new circuit was built on a different site.The old one on narrow country roads was I guess condemed as too dangerous.They used to get crowds of 100,000 even for touring cars.Hardly anyone seems to go to the new one.

the new circuit is used for mainly motorbike racing now.

GP and world superbikes both race there, it's actually a really good circuit but its out in the middle of nowhere so no-one bothers goin to races.
