Let's have a Premier 1 Forum
Love it or loathe it, you clearly can't ignore the new Premier 1 series which is planned to start next July. I think it is time to replace the Speedway forum which no-one ever actually looks at (34 posts? The F1 forum gets that in one day), and replace it with a Premier 1 forum

There's no real need to replace anything. Premier1 can live in the Junior Formulae board until it gets more than the 1 post a week mark (which tends to be about whether it's going to succed or not). I think F3 or F3000 gets a bit more than 1 post a week at the moment, so if there has to be a new forum it ought to be for F3 or F3000.

Cue big discussion as to whether P1, or indeed anything below F1 should be classified as "junior." Deja vu's great, isn't it?

Right now, I don't think there's really that much to discuss in regards to P1GP. Only a couple of football teams have signed up officially... Most of the talk so far has just been speculation and hype.

Thank you for your comments, Raven. I agree entirely with you - I don't think it's worth having a forum for Premier F1 until we know for certain that something is actually going to happen with this.

Personally I think it is going to happen, there are now five teams officially signed up. But it seems that most of the P1GP posts are about whether we should give it its own forum.

Much too early to even begin to justify a forum of it's own. Yes, it may happen and good luck to 'em, but let's see how it pans out before we fall over ourselves in the rush to post about it!!

I think we should wait until the season starts. It is like everthing else - you never know what is going to happen - like people are saying Prost will go into the end of 2002 at this rate he may not make the first start line. Lets wait and see chaps and chapess'

Fair point, but the sheer potential of it occurring is causing shockwaves. In football the sheer possibility of a breakaway Premier League Division 2 is making real discussion, as it has on previous occasions. It can be the samehere, btu for now the renaming of the Junior Formulae section will suffice.

That would mean that there should be a new F1 forum for the breakaway series. Although that is a long way off, but if it were to happen, who cares about mere P1GP?

Looks like Michael has already made the changes - the Junior Formulae forum has now been renamed as people had requested...
