Hi Cos,
While I have never camped there myself, I believe the facilities are shall we say 'basic'. I know some of the other ten-tenthers camped there last year for the BTCC meeting which was a bit of a washout. So, I would recommend you take plenty of dry clothes etc. As for cost, try calling Brands Hatch direct or go to the website which I think is www.octagon.co.uk or try www.brandshatch.co.uk If you drive out of the circuit there are a few local shops in West Kingsdown including a fish & chip shop and a Chinese take-away. Of if you want to venture further afield, Dartford is not too far away. Food at Brands tends to be a little on the expensive side and to be honest, not pretty good quality wise. The Kentagon or Hailwoods within the circuit do a good breakfast including coffee for £5 (last years prices) Hope to see you there during the year! Stephen. |

facilities vary between toilets and showers (btcc, £5) to absolutely no toilets, no nothing (formula ford festival, no charge).
the field is very wet, especially when it rains extensively. i opened my car door at the festival one morning to find a small lake outside. and i got the car stuck in the field at the btcc.... |

I was there for both BTCC meetings last year and wasn't charged at all. Toilets are ok, showers work (which is a major plus compared to some places).
Both times I've been there it's been very very wet. The middle of the field (sorry, campsite) has a major drainage problem - avoid. Can't comment on the local food/drink facilities as we normally BBQ and bring a bottle (or three). |

Thanks all, I'm deciding whether or not to camp over for the BTCC/F3/GT extravaganza, so I might see some of you there

it would be more comfortable to find a b&b nearby, probably not a lot more expensive too.
Definately more civalised! |

Camping is just £5, but if you're not around when the security guard comes round, there's no-one to charge you. |

Do you have a mobile, Stephen ? If so, we can exchange numbers and organise a meetup!

Camping hummmm ..... Brands was very wet last year! £5 charge and toilets on site - but like it's already been said the ground was very soggy, and some of ten-tenths members lost their tents to the windy conditions.
Just imagine what weather is normally like on easter weekend - rain coats at the ready! See you there! ![]() |

Wimp!
Read Craig's mention of a BBQ as 'chuffing big flames over which 'stuff' is burnt beyond recognition. Cover with BBQ sauce. Eat.' ![]() |

Note to all: Lizards do not cook well. We are tough, have lots of bones, far too much stringy skin and take an extraordinary long time to cook to the point where we're even remotely edible.
(VERY worried now... ) |

Quailkings are a bit thin on the ground in Kent.
There were some, but the cooks didn't expect such a rush! |

No reptiles will be eaten, thank you.
And I think a nice ciabatta roll rather than pitta bread would work well. |
