I think Rouse and Soper were the all time best. I have no clue about how well Sytner or those guys drove so I can't really say.

Going by number of race wins it has to be Andy Rouse. I dont really like the guy but Menu was probably the best driver of the ST era.

How about Laurent Aiello.
The three best were probably Menu, Biela and Aiello, possibly Tarquini also, plus of course the legends like Rouse, Soper, Winkelhock and Cleland |

No-one has mentioned Radisich, so I will.
Double winner of the Touring car World cup. And unlucky not to win the BTCC. |

John Cleland was the greatest - for all his years in the BTCC he was never really overshadowed by any other driver, except when in inferior equipment.

To put a different slant on it, Nigel Mansell was surely the best driver to race in the BTCC, but wasn't very good at it!! However, if I have to choose, I suppose it will be Rouse.

Jim Clark is probably the greatest ever driver to race in the btcc. Of drivers who made their career in the series Andy Rouse is the best ever, not just for his driving but his engineering ability too.

Thanks for the support, Nicker Less. I would have chosen him but I felt it wouldn't have gotten any support!

How about Gerry Marshall, or Roberto Ravaglia.
Wih Ravaglia when he reached the BTCC it was just that his great years were past him, but he did win the ETC in '86 & '88, WTCC in '87 and DTM in '89. |

Yeah, I mean Menu was no good he's only a double champion. Biela was only the champion and whipped everybody in 1996. Yeah, Aiello was nothing special, he only won the title in his first year. There's no pleasing you AdamED. |
