2 out of 2 for Darwin Smith. A champion in the making. On the strenght of this, it looks good. However, it's early days yet.

Does anyone have any background info on smith? Is this his first year in Cars?

Is that David Yap in 6th? If so, is he being run by his Dad's team or someone else?

He had a couple more offs today I'm afraid. Finished 13th and 17th in the two races. Makes writing the press release that little bit trickier...

Just got back from Donington now, covered in oil, lovely....

Yeah, the first race was close, Smith won by 0.006 seconds, first four or 5 almost came together at the chicane on the last lap. Smith won race two, by about 3 or 4 seconds, had a constant gap to Clucas all race (didn't catch the official results sheets but thats what it looked like from the pit wall). Our driver Glew got punted off by Julian Yap with about 2 laps to go, not happy about that, he hit our car so hard he pushed the exhaust almost through the top of the sidepod and re-arranged the rear suspension somewhat and bent the wheel rim. Cheers! One of our young mexicans came 6th in race 2 - he's getting better. Roll on round 4.....

Tim Heappey came third in race 2, a blinding result having started 11th on the grid - a double whammy for Mackie today..

It wasn’t Julian Yapp that hit Glew.

Im sure if you asked Phil what happened at that corner he might explain the carnage had been caused by Jay Howard etc having a coming together while battling for possition (which resulted in a stewards inquiry), and how the pack of cars that had bunched back up behind them took the best avoiding action possible, Phil was very unlucky to be collected as he went back across the track.
