Alesi to test for McLaren again

Jean Alesi will test for McLaren again at Mugello this week. Alesi, who is driving for Mercedes in German touring cars this year, had what was supposed to be a one-off test with McLaren at Paul Ricard earlier this year. Now the struggling team is poised to press the veteran Frenchman back into action as they seek to bounce back from their miserable start to the season. Alesi will join regular tester Alex Wurz in action at Mugello in Northern Italy. Alesi is one of only a handful of drivers with recent experience of both Michelin and Bridgestone rubber so his feedback could be vital in allowing McLaren to come to terms with their new French tyres. |
