Replace DC with Villeneuve!
Am I alone in thinking that DC is stagnating at McLaren? He's been there far too long and doesn't seem to be improving, I have no faith at all that he will ever win the World Championship. Plus he is so bloody annoying!!!! Does his head get squarer every year???
I think McLaren should sign Villeneuve, that guy must be itching to be in the top batch of drivers again after such a **** time with BAR. |

why would they sign a driver who does no PR work and has priced himself out of the market?????
there are a lot of faster, cheaper drivers available other than JV |

After another dismal day I am sure JV is becoming my flexible in his demands. If he ever wants to win an F1 race again he might need to seriously reconsider a few things team, money and attitude.

Jacques will NEVER be in a McLaren. He isn't Ron Dennis kind of driver, won't stump for the sponsors is a mediocre tester. It just ain't gonna happen-GIVE IT UP!

Expect Nick Heidfeld (or Nika Heidfelkonnen if anyone has seen that cartoon) to be in the McLaren seat next year. Well, I've got my fingers crossed anyway.

Villeneuve isn't good enough. Simple. Even at Williams with his WDC there were plenty better drivers around. Heildfeld IS the man, as seems to be the consensus.
With regards DC. I've been taking pot shots at him for a LOOONNNGGG time now. It may be time for some movement in the McLaren team to move forward. He could be it, especially now that he's being outqualified and outdriven by his much cheaper team mate. |

Ron Dennis should concentrate on developing his team first, rather than complaining about other teams or saying that he's not impressed with this team and that team!
Ron grow up! and dont make your drivers look slow! |

God no!
JV doesn't deserve a top seat. Why would any good driver choose to stay at BAR? |

O-Kay is the word. He had his helping of luck in the form of drop outs and cock ups, particularly if Button was suffering his problem at the time of him being assed by DC (I don't know the answer).
The fact remaians that a McLaren qualifying 7th is not good enough. It does not led well to your credibility as a WDC challenger. |

don't think that JV would do much better than DC, and anyway, mclaren need to be thinking of the future..........heidfeld is the way to go in my opinion, alongside kimi, if mclaren can get theirselves sorted out those 2 will be right up there!
ron didn't exactly look overjoyed when DC was on the podium today did he! |

yer, Heidfeld is a good choice as him and kimi would push each other on , both are young . Mclaren have invested a lot of money in Nick , so it seems right to take up your investment .

Jacques is no better than DC. BAR should dump Jacques and hire Mark Gene, who has a lot of experience developing a really good car, and McLaren should drop DC and sign Heidfeld, so Sauber can bring on another fine young talent and develop him in the way they seem to do so well.
Jacques and DC are good friends and could spend their golden years together chasing teenaged girls and skiing. |

DC- As "useless as an empty pint glass"
JV won't end up at Mclaren but on the other hand I am sure DC is on his way out as he should have been years ago.
I can never understand how a bloke who has spent most of his career in a top car and failed so many times is still around. He was a disaster in 95 when Frank should have gone for Mansell over DC and how he's hung onto his Mclaren seat is a mystery. Bring back Mika please Ron. Regards Guy |

That was then. This is now. Mansell was a champion too, but do you want to see HIM driving the McLaren?

I think Wurz deserves it - he only ended up without a seat due to bad luck (being a heavy driver in a heavy car) and he consistently puts in times as good or better than DC and Kimi. Can see no reason why Button wouldn't be in the frame too.

Wurz WOULD be deserving, but Heidfeld WILL get the seat!
