Motors TV
Does anybody have Motors TV, if you do you have to watch the Motors Legend programs the are great, last night they had all about the 74 F1 season and last week they had all about Jean Pierre Beltoise.

Yes - those annual reviews are excellent, despite the obviously French origin and bias of the commentary. Some splendid film, also obviously of French origin, but none the worse for that!
But can someone PLEASE tell Carlton Kirby how to pronounce some of the names? I wince every time he says "Denny Hume" - the L is not silent in Denny's name - and as for "Peter Get-hein", well the mind just boggles! He can't even get the French ones right either and he must have the French soundtrack to listen to ... |

I agree - great programmes but you're right about the pronounciations. The one that really grinds on me is Carlos Pace - pronounced as in "ace"!!

no, really, I think every commentator in general should know exactly how every name is pronounced... Football for example... Keane pronounced as Cain, Cole pronounced as cool...
