Croft Renault Test IV - Your predictions
We've had four days testing at Croft so far this year (one test was a two-day test). Three different drivers have been fastest at the end of the previous tests, so who will be quickest in the Croft pre-race test?
Rules as normal, pick 5 drivers, you get two points for every driver you correctly place, one point if you put them in the wrong top 5 position. Extra bonus point if you predict the fastest time to within a tenth. Tie-break (for glory only) is how many will be within a second. 1) Danny Watts 2) Lewis Hamilton 3) Jamie Green 4) Ryan Sharp 5) Alex Lloyd Best time: 1:17.834 17 within a second Last edited by Paul Rayner; 8 Jul 2002 at 20:09. |

Well my ideas for what it's worth
Mark McLoughlin will be at the front (gremlins fixed) and Martin Byford for the Clios -please oh please behave this weekend boys. Heard from Bob Smith today - he won't be racing for a while what with his busted arm and blurred vision in one eye. Iam sure everyone here wishes him a speedy recovery. |

I think its going to be wet/dry, so times could be anywhere, depending on who gets out when.
I'll go for: Watts Lloyd Hamilton Green Sharp Both Lloyd and Hamilton adjust very quickly to tricky or changeable conditions, but I think Watts' experience will give him the edge. If its dry, I predict Lloyd, Green, Watts, Hamilton, Sharp ... but that's hedging bets I suspect. Best time 1:22.00 Top 13 within a second |

This was a close one. Both MrTTRaces and myself tied on 5 points (home knowledge of the circuit was obviously a great help), but MrTTRaces took the victory because his guess of 10 within a second was closer to the truth than my guess of 17 within a second. Jonny Apex got the lowest score with only two points.
Scores: MrTTRaces 5 Paul Rayner 5 Mr Jinxx 4 Mackmot/pb btcc/paulzinho/kbudden/bella 3 Jonny Apex 2 |
