Bayliss Injured in Brands Practice

http://www.amasuperbike.com/2002-Jul/020727a.htm

Seems Bayliss and Xaus had a coming together during Saturday Practice while on their outlap warming up their tyres. Bayliss has been taken to hospital for x-rays and missed Saturday qualifying, possibly with badly bruised kidneys.

In qualifying, Edwards fastest, great job by Chili for third, and Shakey Byrne fifth from teammate Rutter sixth. Plus Aussie wildcard Glen Richards was tenth on the Hawk Kawasaki

Good result from Troy. He was clearly riding a bit tentatively - but he managed to minimalised the damage of Colin winning both races.

Considering Bayliss was riding with a cracked rib, it was a brave ride indeed by the Australian.

Edwards doing the double, however, has put some spark back into the championship and adds interest to the remaining rounds.
