Those plastic bags and paper in radiator ducts
Several cars had their races ruined by overheating caused by plastic bags and paper in the radiator ducts. Surely with all the technology available, couldn't somebody design a simple wire rake system that could be drawn across the radiator by a cable driven by a small electric motor that could pull the plastic bags and paper to one side, where the offending debris can be discharged via a duct? I mean the same contraption could be fitted to the radiator ducts of F1 cars also, I suppose.

It'd probably be against the rules for having a moving aerodynamic device...
Most of the cars have tricky grill set ups that cope well with the leaves of Canberra, but obviously can't cope with plastic bags... |

Why don't they bring out the safety car every time a bag blows on the track?,it came out for everything else.

Simple solution, mesh grate across the very outside of the intake. If something attaches onto the grate, the buffeting should blow it off. possibly that may ruduce airflow though, if the grill was a coarse wire, then it shouldn't cause too many hassles

They could have a grate over them like they do for the front mount intercoolers in the safari rally kenya.

But would it be permisable under the rules? if teams could go sticking things out there, the Ford teams at least would probably fit a wing...

Does the plastic bag get stuck on a grill/screen infront of the radiator?or do they actually get onto the radiator itself,if thats the case wouldn't there be enough heat in the radiator that would cause the bag to actually melt on and make it real hard to remove?

No they just block the airflow. So if you stop you can remove them. Just one problem with stopping though...
