Sheckter testing with Gannasi

Whats going on here? Tomas is testing with Ganassi's EARL team

http://www.motorsport.com/news/artic...=109386&SN=IRL

but what really got me is this:

Quote:
While Scheckter has many options for 2003, he indicated he would like to stay in the Indy Racing League.

"The Indy Racing League is, I think, now the fastest growing form of motorsport in the world. It's great racing, there's a lot involvement, and I think a lot of focus on it worldwide. It's increased massively over the past few years, and I think it's going to carry on.

"I think there's a lot of stuff for me to achieve here in America, and I think I'd like to do it in the IRL."

-irl-

Whats with this? is he still looking for a CART ride?

I saw that the report came from the EARL, could they have twisted his words or something?

Sounds like propaganda from the Invisibles. If not, Scheckter's CART ride is not materializing and he is chosing PC verbage. Can't see how any true racer would make such miserable comments.

Sheckter has always preferred the IRL over that training ground for F1, CART. Smart kid. He knows where the future of open wheel racing in North America is headed.

Someone must have set him down and told him to play nice or he wouldn't get any ride at all. He doesn't prefer IRL. He wants a ride in F1 like Jody.

Ganassi's quite likely too afraid to put any other driver in that seat right now, due to all of the "secrets" that he's keeping.

Why is someone who would prefer to race in the IRL not a 'true racer'.

It may have come from the IRL, but i don't know if they would be making up quotes.

I think it'd be great if he was there next year, if he's with Ganassi he would be a definate championship contender.
