Advantage for teams competing in ETCC & STCC?
Next year the STCC will run the same rules as the ETCC as everyone should know by now. Many drivers and teams complained about the lack of testing between races and unabillity to develop this year in the ETCC.
Now, some teams/manufactuers might run cars both in the ETCC and the STCC next year which brings up a thought from me. Teams/manufacturers running both in ETCC and STCC must then get a advantage as they will get more miles/testing in their cars than teams/manufacturers only, lets say, running in the ETCC. Unless they change the ETCC rules for 2003 there is a testing ban for all teams between 1t of April to 22:nd of October. That is from the start of the season and until the end. I think this could play in the hands of teams running in both championships. Just a thought, what do you people think? |

Offhand, I don't think the ETCC will crack down on testing this year. Perhaps they will wait and see how many manufacturers will run Works teams in both series.
So any good STCC rumors lately? What happened to the Audi A4 rumor? Has anyone tried to organize a series for all those ST cars that are now made extinct? Or how about an official support series for old ST cars. That would be interesting... |
