Bernoldi in big trouble
It seems the guy is head over heels in love with Jelena Dokic, 8th ranked female tennis player, and papa Dokic, Damir, is not happy about it. It seems that Jelena has moved in with Brnoldi, and Jelena has asked tournament officials not to issue both papa and mama with acreditation to enter players areas during her comps. Brits will remember Damir as being the fellow thrown out of the Wimbledon Tennis Court after a fight with officials over the price of his fish lunch, during daughter's Wimbledon comp two years ago, and Americans will probably remember him as the guy thrown out of the U.S. open. Now Damir, a former truck driver, says that he drives faster than Bernoldi.
 Just thought you overseas guys would like a little gos. BTW Liz, Bernoldi is rather good looking.

I first read about the Bernoldi/Dokic twosome in a small bit piece in one of the local papers. The story was about the accreditation for the parents deal, but did mention she was going out with Enrique. It didn't mention the shacking up part, though! I'll bet Dad is a bit sore about that one, he's quite the possessive type, it seems.
Isn't she over 18 now? What is considered adulthood over there? |

Jelena is 19. I also suspect that she took up Jugoslavian citizenship when papa was infuriated at her Australian Open draw, and he also got some unflattering media coverage here. The guy is a nut case, very overbearing, and it must have taken a lot of courage and backing from Enrique for her to decide to move out of the family home (which she denies) and move in with Enrique. Hope Enrique get's a seat with one of the F1 teams next year, or he will be unemployed.

Papa dokic did a toyota add here!Can't remember much of it but it was quite cheeky and funny.
Better still it got one of the comedy tv shows to suggest adds for other dishonorable sportspeople-The best i think was for the football player who was caught jaming his thumb up someones butt in a tackle(just to put the player off you understand,no other reasons...). They had him in an add for a toyota wagon(estate)"because you can fit more in the back" and giving the thumbs up at the end of the add. ROTFLMHO |

Bernoldi is gorgeous.
 He is wasted on some 19 year old bimbette.Er, moving right along, having got into a fight with the father of someone to whom I was engaged, when said father was my age, I hope he can keep her on his side. Young people frequently have no permanent backbone and when she caves in and goes back on Daddy's side Bernoldi will be toast. |
