CAT is prowling.
As expected, Briggs Motorsport and Cat have announced their divorce. Briggs will continue as a 2 car Betta team whilst Cat will stay in the series as sponsor of either Team Brock or 00 Motorsport. Driver lineups have not been confirmed but the rumours certainly have been.

BAGT, the CAT dollars are now with the newly formed FPV, and on-car sponsor of the new Lowndes/Besnard combination
All from a reliable source so... maybe we have finally consigned the speculation to the bin? You would be surprised how many disappointed teams there are around right now because the CAT dollars are off the market |

If teams are disappointed at this stage, they shouldn't be on the track.
At this stage of the year 2003 sponsorship deals should be nicely signed and tucked away - if not then whoever is chasing up the teams sponsorship dollar is not doing their job properly and should have already signed themself up with CerntreLink.... |

I can tell you for a fact RaceTime that there are at least 3 Supercar teams currently scouring the bottom of the barrel to confirm primary sponsorship for 2003.
This is primary sponsorship, as in the 65% of the budget they need just to start the cars up, let alone the palm tree budgets.... I agree regarding the Centrelink scenario too, 1 of the 3 is a new team so you may forgive them for misplaced optimism, but the other 2 have been around a good long time... and should know better |
