Best & Worst Liverys for V8 era!

Just wanting to find out what people think has been the Best and Worst liverys of the V8 era. From 1993 - 2002. I think Lowndes's green eyed monster would be up there as the best and Allan Moffats Cenovis car. Maybe Ingalls Silver Bullet. The worst would be Gibson Motorsports Team Sega Network Q livery. What do u all rekon?

I hate to say it but Moffats cenovis car was very nice, and the magnetic blue castrol one Ingall had for the race in Canberra a few years ago was excellent. and I quite liked the Challenge recruitment cars a few years back as well.

worst , Alan Jones's Komatsu one was a shocker and yep I didnt like the network Q ones too

I think Paul Weel has had some Barry Crockers over the years...

I still like the VIP Petfoods one from last year, although I doubt I ever saw it

Crash, i too liked the VIP Petfoods car.
Considering the sponsors colours i would have thought Anthony Tratts car could have looked a lot better too and last years Paul Weel car was pretty bad.
What about Derek Van Zelms car, i'm not sure it is the best one either. Different, but good?

Winfield Racing VR was OK and the current HRT is OK too. Hated the Peter Jackson EB in 93, was really bland and literally a ciggie packet on wheels. At least the Winfield one had the yellow lightning flash and a bit of excitement about it. Also the HRT scheme of '97 was a bit ordinary.

Richard Morks rainbow paint scheme was pretty rank and Rod Nash had a shocker when he first started out and was only improved with the addition of Bud

I always thought that Bob Pearson had some greak colour schemes back in the VP Commodore days, predominantly black with wavy coloured lines changing through the colour spectrum as they went along the car.

Gardner and Cromptons Coke Commodores always looked the goods, as did Johnson and Bowe's EL Falcons circa 1997/98 with the yellow front merging into the red back.

Currently I thing that Bowes black Ozemail AU Falcon looks very nice, and hope it looks as good in the BA shape.

Shockers include Setons Peter Jackson Falcon, Alan Jones "Pack Leader" Falcon (same sh*t different smell really), Lowndes "Green Eyed Monster (the most overhyped V8 supercar scheme there has ever been), and the Betta Electrical cars look a bit, well, just not quite there.

I've also grown particularly unfond of HRT's increasingly boring look as well as Johnsons Shell cars which have looked the same for years now, and the Ford Credit look of Setons car needs a new lease on life.

I liked the CAT Racing cars from 2000 onwards. JF'S Asia Online car from 2000 was neat, too and Brad Jones' OzeMail falcon. Or the "bubble car" from team Gatorade...
I disliked the TDK Ultratune cars but the ugliest car to me is the 2001 Longhurst Commodore!

I think last year Paul Morris's Sirommot Wines car has been the best livery so far, hopefully the new VY will look great as well. Also I agree with you V8moz, the Bowe Cat car looked good also. And yes Richard Morks car looked terrible, you wonder what he was thinking when he put that livery on the car, it looked like the Technicolour Dreamcoat.

The Supercheap Racing car is the worst, by far. I think Larry's Black and white VT in 99 was a great paintjob, and Lowndes' 2000 HRT paintjob also. The K-Mart cars started to look good this year, till they turned them into a big pair of red scissors or whatever it was.

The Coke Commodore at the end of 97 looked pretty ordinary with a zillion smaller sponsors splattered all over it.

The original Moffat car from Bathurst 1993 (without the Banana Boat sponsorship on the bonnet or the front bumper winglets from 94-onwards) is in my mind the absolute best paintscheme of any V8 Supercar raced.

Of the current lot, I actually like the Shell Helix paint on the DJR cars, I liked the Lowndes 00 scheme once they'd ditched the grey wheels and the new Caltex scheme and the Orrcon scheme both look pretty good. I don't like the paint on Paul Weel's car or on the Lansvale car. Not a big fan of the Young Lions scheme or the Team Brock 'Bathurst' scheme either.

Of the older schemes, the Moffat Cenovis car as I've mentioned, the 97 Young Lions car, the 95 Peter Jackson car, the Lansvale Dulux cars (even the 96 one ), the Coke Commodores (before they got the white bonnet for 97) and the Diet Coke Commodore all looked good.

Of the HRT cars over the years, the 93 and 97 cars looked the best, but IMO still not a patch on their Bathurst 88 warpaint.

I reckon rod nash started off with a very average scheme, however i think 2000 he had the best scheme and one of the bests ever seen in the category. The Autopro VT. Just red and yellow go well. Paul Weel has some shockers and the supercheap ones look dull. Mork had a shocker. Lowndes was nice. Hrt seem to produce neat cars.

I liked the Autopart paint scheme of Peter McLeod in 1986... it was quite stylish for the time

The Brock 05 and 10 Mobil Commodores at Bathurst in 1987 were pretty special too, certainly more stylish than previous years.

I Liked Kevin Heffernans Price Attack Livery and Johnny Trimboles Bottle Magic/ Daily Planet Jobs.

But then Ive got no taste either.

The Bottle Magic car looked best as the first Mezera Airlines flying machine at Bathurst in 97.

Does anyone remember the Smerdon McConville VP with Anderson Consulting major signage at Bathurst in the early 90's...bottle green and light blue what a shocker.

Rod Nash also ran a white Commodore VT in 2000. I have a picture displaying the car from the side (with a big Repco sticker over the doors). But I have no idea who sponsored the hood...
Does anybody have a pic of this car from the front??

I liked Larkham's old Mitre 10 colour scheme's, i liked the Gibson Winfield colours from 1992-1995.

Of the current one's, Ingall's one is alright, i like the Morris colours from last year, the Team Brock car from Bathurst looked good as well.

Best one of all though is the Marlboro HDT 'dayglo' Orange VK Commodore's from the enduro's in 1984. Liked the JPS Team BMW colours as well.

I Know its not the V8 era but one of my all time favorites would have to have been Tim Slako's Pink Rover at Bathurst many years ago.

I would have to go with Larko's Mitre 10 schemes as the best. It was probably the way the signs were made that made them just that much better.
