Excitement Factor
An idea I got from J.McClane's thread about badges http://tentenths.com/forum/showthrea...threadid=34463
Simple one. How excited about this season and the fact that the first race weekend starts in about one day! The scale: 1 to 5. 1=not at all 5=I can't wait give it to me now. It's been a long off season. There are many changes. How will they pan out? What will the coverage be like? Who will be competetive? etc... Are you excited? |

As always I can hardly wait. And if I'm a bit ****ed off by Max' stupid rules, with Max I have a problem and certainly won't allow him to spoil my excitement. So, 2 hours 46 minutes till first test session!

I am excited andf though I expect a Ferrari romp, the manner in which it unfolds may be unexpected. I also expect some upheaval in the running order mid-field.

I'm going to get up in the wee hours (Allen McNish speak) to watch, so I must be quite excited.
Mind you it is a big day for me in more ways than one! |

I'm always excited ahead of a new season. The reason I became a fan of motorsport was that anything could happen and it did (I think it was Linda Joyner who said it that way in the newsletter, and it sums up why I became a fan as well). Last year's reliability for TGF didn't follow that tradition. Finishing on the podium in all 17 races is unheard of.
As always, I'm optimistic, hoping for a better show up front. At least the new rules will make things different during the race weekends. Whether the results will be any different - that remains to be seen. |

I'm looking forward to it, but it lacks the magic I used to feel from past seasons.

I'll be completely excited only on Sunday morning.
Or wondering why I'm waking up at that hour. |

I'm incredibly excited and not just because of the new rules, I just always am. For all it's shortcomings F1 for me is still the pinnacle. I think however when Silverstone comes and the aids are gone I'll be truly beside myself in excitement. Can't wait to see those rear tires light up at the start.

5 years ago I would have been no. 5, eager for the new season to start.
Today, I am not too bothered. I'm interested in how the new rules and regulations will pan out, and if the race is interesting and the future provide some excitement, my spirit for the sport may be rekindled. |

I'm on a 4 for this race. Last years races were pathetic, I was sitting on 1-2 by the end of the year, sometimes not even watching the races. But some of the excitement is back. It's not like back in '99 when I'd say it was a 5, but I still can't wait. It's gonna be a much better season then last year.

Even though I've been fairly dis-illusioned with F1 of late, I can't wait to see the start of the new season.
- New Reg changes: will they really spice it up?? - New Ferrari: Is it really that good? - New Williams: Is it really that bad? - McLaren: Can they get near Ferrari? And is Kimi WDC material? - Renault: Trulli/Alonso. Is this Trulli's last chance? - Jordan: Can Firman drive? Can the Jordan come good? - Jaguar: What can Webber do in a car thats not a Minardi? - Sauber: Can HHF really drive? How will they do with F2002 engine? - BAR: JV/Button. Hasta la vista JV??? - Toyota: Difficult second year? - Minardi: Can they get off the back row with Cossie power? Over the next 72 hours, all the bullsh1t stops. Yep, can't wait. Hope I don't end up flicking channels by mid-race. |

This first GP is crucial, I hope it's a cracker. A collision between the two Ferraris would be highly amusing.

I'm going to wet my pants if they don't hurry up.
I always get that buzz in my stomach come race start - goodness knows what it's like for the teams...even when the races were boring last year there was still that hope that something might happen. |

After 30 years watching it. I would vote for "normal"...
But when I see the cars racing at Melbourne, it's like a drug that you can't live without, I'll take a deep breath and say "Yes, it's gooood to have you back" |
